Intervino tambi'en George Martin en la que quiz'as sea su 'ultima producci'on en torno a The Beatles. Pero tambi'en participaron hijos, en especial Giles Martin y Dhani Harrison. El resultado es un brillante espect'aculo que recrea el universo Beatle con toda la calidad pl'astica y drawn del Cirque Du Soleil y que cont'o con la aprobaci'on de los Beatles supervivientes y de los familiares de Lennon y Harrison.

En 2007 se realiz'o una extraordinaria pel'icula que pone pie tambi'en en la herencia Beatle. Dirigida por Julie Taymor, el filme se llama Straddling The Outer space y basa su creaci'on en el mundo Beatle, en cada uno de los personajes, lugares y temas que componen ese universo creativo, adscribi'endolo a la 'epoca Beatle, finales de los '60, principios de los '70. Contando con actores y m'usicos invitados como Bono, Joe Cocker o Salma Hayek, y la participaci'on de actores y cantantes noveles especialmente seleccionados al efecto, la trama se va desarrollando en source a las canciones del grupo, enlazadas de modo tal de contar una historia que es de amor entre Jude y Lucy, pero que tambi'en es de aspectos tan profundamente humanos como los principios, la guerra, la pol'itica, la b'usqueda creativa o los grandes valores en una sociedad y en una 'epoca. Haciendo un ida y vuelta entre Liverpool y Nueva York pero viajando tambi'en a trav'es del universo sonoro - drawn - imaginario - sensorial de los Beatles, las tramas se van entrelazando y dan lugar a alusiones varias a la cultura de la 'epoca, que no es otra cosa que el principio de lo que llamamos la Cultura Shake. Sin duda que es la esencia beatle lo que cuenta en esta pel'icula, pero ella tambi'en cont'o con el aval de los Beatles a'un vivos y de los familiares de John y George.

Recientemente, este a~no, apareci'o un nuevo fill cinematogr'afico, el documental [o rockumental como se le mince ahora] Trade In The Actual Earth dirigido por Martin Scorsese, un veterano cineasta tambi'en en lo referido a este tipo de materiales, como sus anteriores producciones referidas a los Rolling Gravel y Bob Dylan [Sheen A Open, No Requisition Apartment]. En esta nueva realizaci'on, Scorsese pasa revista a la trayectoria de Harrison de toda una vida, bas'andose en documentos gr'aficos, f'imicos, sonoros y testimoniales, con la participaci'on de sus familiares y sus dilectos amigos y allegados, entre ellos Eric Clapton, Paul Mc Cartney, Ringo Starr, Eric Idle y Terry Gilliam, estos dos 'ultimos integrantes de los Monty Python, a quienes refiri'eramos en otro post.
