I unobtrusive this book at the library lacking realizing it was geared on the way to younger readers. I intense to read it clearly. I can say it is a very good introduction to Voodou and covers the religion found in Africa, in Haiti, and in New Orleans. The book also touches on hoodoo; while it presents hoodoo in a semi-schizophrenic fashion by having hoodoo be part of Voodou in inevitable sections and hence a cut practice or a tradition of magic that has been in the buff of it's "Voodou religion". Of course apiece forms of entrance of hoodoo in the book are injustice. I reliance this was done since the compound did not stimulate that "picture" and "rootwork" were synonyms for hoodoo. I reliance the compound confused "picture" and "ensconce doctor" with a practitioner of Voodou. Not considering the inaccuracies on hoodoo the book is a good, basic introduction to Voodou. The a short time ago things about the book that I eyesore is that the book is a short time ago circa 100 pages and all the photographs are in black and white. Several of the photographs are good and would delimit had even a senior manipulate on the reader if colored photographs were hand-me-down.
On a vital of 1 to 10, with 1 the same as the smallest possible and 10 the same as the utmost, I make longer this book a 5.
