Invocation To Herne

Herne /Cernunnous is an old Celtic/Pagan diety also know as the Lord of the Woods. He is a representation of the virile,masculine power in nature, balancing the fertile female Goddess. He is often shown with stag horns which represent man's closeness to the earth and to nature itself. The early Christians, trying to stamp out the old religions, turned herne and his horns into the personification of evil and labelled him the Devil. A sad misinterpretation that still lingers today.
